Town Rab was first time mentioned 10 years B.C. in old Roman document. It gets epithet FELIX which means happy. 17 centuries ago in Lopar was born Marin which was a stone mason and on a hill Titan he built a church. Town and today`s state San Marino developed there.
At the end of the Upper street in Rab, Church of Mary`s Assumption was built in 1118. In 1177. it was sanctified by Pope Aleksandar the 3th.

Barbat is known for agriculture, shepherds, vine growing... It has many sand beaches. You can visit hill St. Damjan with old Christian Church`s remains.
Palit is surrounded with peninsula Frkanj wit wild nature and bays.
Town Rab has rich heritage and it is a cultural center of the island. It is surrounded with walls. Near the walls there is a promenade and a bathing area.
Kampor kept its appearance as old fishing settlement. There is a Franciscan monastery from 1445. in the entrance of Kampor.
Supetarska Draga is situated in fertile valley. You can visit some nearby islets from Supetarska Draga. Beaches are sandy, clean and protected.
Lopar is rich with sandy beaches. It has 3 beaches for nudists. Most known beach is Heaven beach 1,5 km long.
Banjol has many protected bays, houses near the beach, old town with belltowers and a promenade.
Mundanije is known for fruits and vegetables growing. It is not situated next to the coast like other towns.
Island Rab has Mediterranean climate with Mediterranean vegetation. It has 2417 sunny hours a year. Island Rab is covered with evergreen woods. In summer time easy wind mistral blows.
